Again this year, each tree must have a &#8220;Compost It!®&#8221; yard waste sticker attached to it prior to pickup. &#8220;Compost It!®&#8221; stickers are available at area Dahl&#8217;s and Hy-Vee stores.</span></span></div>

<p>The City typically collects collect Christmas trees in the two weeks following Christmas during the normal trash collection.  Trees must be free of all ornamentation and tinsel, and should not be in a plastic &#8220;tree bag&#8221;.</p>

<p>Attach a Compost It! sticker to the tree and it will be picked up on Thursday, January 10 or Friday, January 11, 2008.</p>
<p>Residents need to “de-trim” their trees. Ornaments, tinsel, tree stands, and other decorations should be removed from trees before placing them at the curb.  Trees that have been placed in plastic bags will not be collected. Wreaths are also not accepted.</p>
