Des Moines has so many unique neighborhoods it is great to see them discussed here. I live in Urbandale also, have since I was 9 (minues college), and have really grown to love it. I remember when we moved here from the Twin Cities we laughed at the name cause it was so "cardboard" and boring. Still do actually, but it is home so I have accepted it.
